Retrograde ejaculation is another known side-effect of Memokath™ 028 Prostate in which case, the patient may decide to remove the stent to regain normal ejaculatory function. The complication risk is also minor and pertains to stent migration or encrustation. If the stent migrates, it can often be repositioned. If not, it can simply be removed or exchanged with a new stent. If the stent encrusts it will typically have to be exchanged. Vigilance by both patients and doctors towards reoccurring symptoms is always recommended in case the stent has migrated
as well as to avoid complete encrustation.
